Project 5, Task 1

  There are many benefits of student blogging.  One benefit is that it gives each of the students a voice.  They are able to present their thoughts, ideas, comments, observations...through their writing.  These writings can then be shared with their fellow students and/or the teacher who can then give comments.  These comments may affirm what the student wrote, lead their thoughts in another direction or make them think of things in another way.  As long all the students agree to keep the blogging community safe for all students it can lead to a greater sense of community.  It can also give voice to students who are normally quieter and do not feel as comfortable sharing their thoughts in an open forum.
